Pennsylvania Straight Rye Whiskey
Before Bourbon, there was Rye Whiskey which is uniquely Pennsylvanian. Pennsylvania was the center of Rye Whiskey production in the late 1700s and early 1800s. By 1808, Pennsylvania farmers were selling one-half barrels for each man, woman, and child in the country. After prohibition Rye fell out of favor to the sweeter corn whiskey known as Bourbon. Rye is experiencing a huge comeback and we are proud to be part of it!
Our Penna Rye is made from 80% rye and 11% corn, 9% barley, all grain is grown right on our farm. The whiskey rests in stainless steel before barreling in New White Oak Barrels for a minimum of 2 years.
A clean and bright whiskey with a hint of dry fruit and honey. One glass and you'll be singing its praises.
